Rob has a wealth of experience and skills developed in the education sector over many years. This includes teaching in primary and secondary schools, senior management positions in schools and local authorities, Ofsted inspection, senior roles for the Department for Education (DfE), as well as working internationally and with the private sector. Since 2008 Rob has worked as an independent education consultant across a range of organisations. His skills and knowledge are called upon regularly in his continued role as an expert adviser to the DfE, which have included the London Challenge, the Greater Manchester Challenge and since 2011 the Academies Programme.
Andy has extensive leadership experience in the IT Software and Services sectors, having held a broad range of senior executive management positions in the UK, USA and Europe.
For the past 6 years, he has been a Managing Director in Cisco UK and Ireland leading all Sales and Technical Specialist functions as well as heading up Innovation.
Andy is passionate about attracting, retaining and developing world-class talent and building winning teams through 21st Century leadership models such as Conscious Leadership and Relationship System Intelligence.
As a member of the Cisco UKI Managing Board he works closely major Partners and Customers and represents the company in a range of external bodies. In leading Cisco's Innovation function, he spearheads several broader initiatives including collaborative research, start up incubation and acceleration and eco-system development.
Realising the potential of technology to solve important business and societal challenges, much of his focus is on encouraging take up of careers in the industry, fostering links between the tech sector and education, looking at ways of addressing the digital divide, and mentoring and supporting entrepreneurs. He holds a number of external Non-Exec positions related to these interests.
Before joining Cisco, he spent 7 years at Siemens Enterprise Communications where he held various international leadership roles, including heading up global Unified Communications business management.
Andy holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he is a Fellow of the Sloan School of Management.
Married to Maxine, with two daughters - Katie and Amy, frustrated hacker at Golf, he’s keen on most sports and has suffered for many years as a Spurs fan. He has avid interest in music, literature, cinema and the arts in general.
Richard trained at Dartmouth Naval College and spent time in the Royal Navy. He went on to higher education and read Business Studies.
Whilst looking for a career, post higher education, Richard went to work in the office of a wine company. After a few months he was offered a sales role selling wine to hotels and restaurants; he spent over fifteen years buying and selling wine.
Alongside this Richard wrote and taught a wine course at Adult Education level, then managed sales teams working for wine companies, regional breweries and then cider.
He currently works for a cider company managing their corporate relations, trade and media PR, sponsorships, charity work and generally the voice of the business.
Richard became a governor and then Chair of Governors taking a comprehensive school through the process to become an Academy.
He has two children both of whom have graduated from university.
Richard enjoys listening to live music and regularly goes to Glastonbury. He plays Badminton, enjoys road and off-road cycling and motorcycling, sailing, windsurfing and snow skiing.
Cathryn Henry is the founder and Managing Partner of OneDegree Development Ltd, a leadership consultancy and training provider.
Cathryn has spent nearly 20-years immersing herself in various aspects of the leadership sector. Eleven years as a central government education and skills strategist included a role interpreting the government’s skills ambitions to employers across all sectors. This led to Board-level leadership positions within the education and skills market, including a large FE College and a School Board.
Her consultancy work is more evidence of a career of proven results: supporting a unitary authority with their youth participation and apprenticeship strategy she halved their NEET statistic within the first year and reduced their costs by 40% in the second.
Cathryn has spent her career as a Disruptive Thought Leader and successfully interprets government policy and leading leadership research in a way that can be understood and implemented by her clients.”
Jackie has extensive experience in the Human Resources function. After 30 years in the corporate world, with her last role as HR Director (UK Corporate) for Johnson Matthey, a FTSE100 company which is a global leader in sustainable technologies, she has recently set up her own HR consultancy and executive coaching business.
Having come from a family of teachers, she has developed a passion for education and specifically developing leadership skills within them; a place where her family upbringing and HR skills converge.
She has been a school governor within 2 local schools over a period of 15 years and is a trustee (and currently the Chair) of the board of a large multi academy trust of schools based in Surrey.
She holds a BA (Hons) from Roehampton University and a Masters in Employment Law & Employee Relations. She is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, and a member of the British Psychological Society.
